Pre-Summer Updates
So, it looks like I’m going back to school in the fall. I got accepted into UVM’s post-bac medical laboratory science certification program. I’ll be taking a series of microbiology, phlebotomy, hematology, immunology, and clinical chemistry courses and will do an internship during my last semester. I’m excited but I’ve been pretty stressed trying to figure out how I’m going to pay for this and I have a lot of immunizations/blood tests to get before August. I also have to take a few courses before I start the program, such as a healthcare provider CPR course. I’ll be able to do a lot more with my biology degree once I get this certification…since there really isn’t a lot in the Rutland area that I can do without additional education. My boyfriend bought me a microscope for my birthday, so I’m already getting pumped for microbiology in the fall!
I know this post has nothing to do with the theme of my blog, but I don’t have a whole lot to update about…I really need to get out and take some photos and go camping / hiking real soon! I got a really nice frame backpack with a hydration pack in it from Cabela’s for my birthday and a hiking pole and I can’t wait to use them!
